Ground loops

Here is a plot of the spectrum at my soundcard's input with and without isolating transformer.

It may be much worse than it is in my case, I could certainly do without the transformer but I have...

A catastrophic failure with strong AM signals all over, especially one from CRI right on channel.

Distance in the log is wrong.

Cerrik has returned with its wideband CRI transmissions on 9460 kHz and is causing interference until 10:00 UTC.

It seems, I tuned in too late. Signal strength was ok when I tuned in but interference right on channel and 5 kHz below was too strong.

I have used such transformers, they work well, I haven't even spent too much effort in properly matching them, originally these transformers are usually intended to be matched to 600 Ohms (the...

Pretty good despite the impulse response becoming longer already. I wonder how it will behave in a month or so.

Take away the interference and it would be a perfect result.
But unfortunately there is interference.

Fading periods seem to increase in number.

The crackling distortion noise was very annoying at times, not only on 1296 kHz but also on 7320 kHz today.

No problems with a late start but instead with a low SNR, not as a result of propagation but instead due to an obviously improperly tuned TX. I have already seen this strange WMER vs. carrier index...

A good signal with regard to signal strength but a low SNR hampering proper decoding on this transmission here. To me, this looks like an improperly tuned TX, here is a 10 minutes report.

Better forget about this frequency. It's a waste of transmitter power due to very strong co-channel interference as well as from other stations 5 kHz up and below.

Transmission ended at the proper time but there were a few dropouts. Perhaps winter conditions are nigh.
