Consistency in decoding should be the primary goal of every digital SW broadcaster. At times, I think some DRM SW broadcasters are really narrowcasters. Maybe, those DRM SW narrowcasters in love with 64 QAM modulation should modulate a high-powered laser beam instead.

Also important, your receiver is much more typical of the average listener than the more expensive and elaborate setups of some members on the DRMRX forums, including myself.

Surely this my "kit DRM" composed of the receiver Avion and the antenna active Sony an-lp 1, are more simple compared to efficient SDR and the antenna wellbrook ALA for example. However, I guarantee the flexibility you can listen emissions in places with lower incidence of interference electrical, as parks and on the inside. So, I know perfectly that the spread is the factor predominant for decoding. in addition, I tried to listen here, but I don't have caught nothing else, such as RNZI 11690, RRI 9535, BBC tests, Kuwait DRM, etc. so, this issue in 11650 of RRI has been the only issue effective in Southern Brazil, but it has days arrives and other non reaches decode. regret the broadcasters still use modulation 64-QAM, which is desperate, because you think will decode, but need a very high gain greater what you think to achieve hear. only in years with spread very good, that modulation is interesting. When I was in London (Dec 2017), had days that wasn't decoding RRI in English for Europe, but with the same gain in 16-QAM could listen perfectly. Anyway, I think 16-QAM should always be the option to the shortwave. if you want to transmit Journaline, then should use the Mode A with 16-QAM.
Modes B and C, you can not transmit journaline with audio, but at least the listener wouldn't be so anxious to listen to the issue as occurs in 64-QAM.

Agreed. A portable setup certainly has its advantages since it allows a resident of a city to escape the noise when necessary. Not everyone wants the expense and burden of living in the country. Yes, even Mode A works quite well on shortwave with minimal hops. I give credit to RRI for listening to you and to yourself for the effort.

Surely, now only need to work with the AAC+ codec to stay 100% )
