Log from September 15th. Audio sounds good when it does decode.
Cheers, Chris

Yesterday in September 24th, I received the signal DRM of CNR on 6030 kHz at 16H00 UTC, it is incredible, very low signal but it in is enough for decoding on the screen, unfortunately not of audio but I do not despair :

Great catch Marcel, that gives me hope, I will keep trying for this one! :-)

27th Sep.
Voice Of China with a regular broadcast aimed for China logged for 152 minutes from 1042-1314 UTC. Max.16,88 dB SNR and 11,64% decoded audio.
Alan, I noticed when I lived in Stockholm that propagation from the east was quite often good on 6 MHz. A good indicator is 6,600 MHz with the two Koreas amusing each other and in narrow band mode 6,003 MHz I could often hear the jammer from DPRK. Keep checking for DRM on 6030 kHz. |

Hi Terje, Thanks a lot for the tips, I'll certainly try that. The biggest problem here seems to be splatter from the nearby stations, so I'm trying it with my SDRplay as I can create custom bandwidth filters in SDR Console, which should offer a better chance than with my NRD-525's very wide 'aux' filter. This is probably a good time of year to have a chance of hearing them as well, with the Equinox conditions giving some good paths to the east at a reasonable time. It would be great if CRI would try a few DRM tests, there's never any problem hearing their big wide signals here! :-) Thanks again and 73 for now,

Today I again managed to take a small signal DRM of CNR with decoding on screen, really not easy, the signal is sporadic and fluctuates a lot.
For Alan, I noticed that the best period for the maximal signal is between approximately 16 and 16 o'clock 30 UTC and my small trick to win 1 or 2 db is to pass in FM. https://nsa39.casimages.com/img/2018...1159471285.jpg https://nsa39.casimages.com/img/2018...9233142257.jpg

Thanks Marcel, I checked at 1630 today and although I didn't get any decodes I could see their signal trace on my waterfall display. It was getting some QRM from a station on 6025 which was speaking in english, though I only have PBS and a Burmese station listen there at that time, but in 'local' languages. I'll keep trying though and hope I get lucky and I'll try your FM tip and see if that helps! :-)

Hello Chris,
Yes, yesterday evening the signal was a little better than usually here at my home in FRANCE, between 21 and 21H30 UTC, but it did not allow to have of the sound at the moment: https://nsa39.casimages.com/img/2018...4307608611.jpg https://nsa39.casimages.com/img/2018...4524283201.jpg
