Both services. The RF signal was ~60dBuV. Until ~05:43 the results were very good with max SNR at 28.5dB, then the SNR dropped mostly below 20dB and the results turned very bad.

For the first time in months, I could clearly see the digital signature on the waterfall. Reception should continue to improve markedly over the next week.

Both services. The RF signal was ~60dBuV. Until ~05:56 the results were very good with max SNR at 30.5dB, then the SNR dropped and decoding errors started.

Reception from Europe continues to slowly improve (a bit later than normal) for this time of year, but the odds of decoding anything from RRI is essentially nil.

Reception continues to improve. Due to interference on weekdays, this broadcast is functionally receivable only on weekends in North America. On weekdays, there is an 5 kHz digital signal centered on 7335 kHz which destroys the signal from RRI.

Decent reception on weekends when the 5 kHz digital signal centered on 7335 kHz is gone ... Apparently, RRI changes azimuth at 26 minutes after the hour which worsens reception in North America.

Reception during weekdays is generally awful due to the 5 kHz digital signal on 7335 kHz....

Logged this station for a while as BBC on 4 MHz was too weak in the aftermath of the solar storm last night. Perfect reception.

The second log was recorded with the Newstar DR111. It is a 76 minutes long log which started with the end of the Galbeni transmission. I believe the SNR is a new record with the DR111.

Perfect reception of the German transmission with the DR111 connected to an external antenna and battery powered by a 5 Ah GP PowerBank.

Perfect reception of the English and the German transmission with the DR111 connected to an external antenna and battery powered from a 5 Ah GP PowerBank.

So far the DR111 has played 5.5 hours on one charge and there are still 3 out of 4 LEDs lighting on the battery indicator.
