BBC WorldService from Kranji, Singapore logged for 59 minutes from 0800 UTC. For some reason or another BBC presented itself as "SINGAPORE DRM" and the DRM configuration was different with 11.64 kbps which did not improve the reception much because of the poor propagation conditions. Max. 21.30 dB SNR and 62.16% decoded audio. Propagation today was extremely poor again.

The propagation today was moderate. I cut a video for GR-216 which uses a mini whip standing on the roof of the building.

OFF-TOPIC...

Isn't there an extended version of the GR-216 in work also? I want the most capable version of the GR-216 when it's available.

If I have done my homework right, hcliu's location gets about 40 dBu and I get about 29. I did not log today, but 29 dBu over a distance of 9600 km is about the limit for my FRG-7700 with its outdoor active antenna. Lately I have been "blessed" with some neighbour's PLC (Power Line Communications = wireless internet over the 230 VAC plug) which rattles up a wood-pecker noise 24/7 and is at its strongest around 17-18 MHz here. These kind of products should be banned from the market, but "who listens to shortwave anyway?" say the idiots who rule the EU from Bruxelles (never mind the misspelling, I could not care less).
