Interesting... I'm not so sure. , but it's possible it wasn't the USCG. Who was it, then? I definitely received a 20 kHz digital signal which was centered on 8001 kHz once and the signal was similar in strength to the USCG's DRM broadcast. You received a similar 20 kHz digital signal on 12100 kHz to my mysterious signal on 8001 kHz so I'm suspicious of the USCG's response to you. Coincidentally or not, both of these frequencies are used by the USCG for testing DRM. I wonder if the left knows what the right is doing within our government at times... I never expected such a response from the USCG. One would think the USCG would want to identify who it was if it wasn't them and the USCG would have the capability of discovering the identify of the intruder. Interesting comment, indeed, and thanks for sharing it, but I don't necessary buy the USCG's response to you.

Jun 2nd log ... weak signal, but it was there. Maximum SNR is a spurious result.

Didn't WRMI vacate 6855 kHz? If so, why does the US government tolerate interference from the digital signal on 6845 kHz? Maybe, because the US government is powerless to stop it? LoL

Just for fun I tried a few SDR receivers around the world this morning. There is a DRM signal on 9900 kHz now at 0730 UTC which I saw in Kansas USA, 4200 km, (very weak) and in Alberta CDN, 2400 km, quite strong. There were no traces of signal in Novosibirsk RUS, 6600 km or in Aichi JPN, 5400 km. Needless to say there is no DRM here in Stockholm either on 9900 kHz at 0735 UTC.

Terje,

The signal was quite weak at my location on 9900 kHz so I decided to not even log it. Keep trying, you'll get it again one day.

Tom, we need a small (or large, rather) wonder for that to happen! I cannot even see a trace of the Mr. Overcomer on 9.955 MHz either. However in Alberta in Canada the signal is clearly visible. There is occasional QRM in the channel as you can see in the screenshot.
