I logged 6850 kHz all night just to see if there was a chance to see any traces of DRM on the frequency. At 0450 UTC there were 15 syncs within the minute in the 10 1/2 hours long log. From 1600 UTC today the frequency will be 5200 kHz.

I'm not sure about the list in the video. So far, Terje's list has been accurate, but we could be wrong, I suppose. I've been looking periodically and I, too, haven't seen any DRM signal lately so I think the transmissions have stopped temporarily.

The frequency 2450 kHz in the video had a date from the previous test period, not the present. I got the frequency list on the 25th May 2017. This morning around 0820 UTC there was a very weak carrier on 12100 kHz which was visible on the WEB-SDR in Alberta (Canada) and at my location. The signal in DReaM was 5-10 dB above the noise floor. The origin of the signal impossible to guess but the signal disappeared from both receivers around 0827 UTC. It was a carrier wave but not DRM. Therefore it seems like they are celebrating Midsummer in Alaska! Enclosed is the schedule for the next few days if someone wants to try.

Update 26th June at 0725 UTC: No signal on 12100 kHz today either (looking at Canadian SDRs at Victoria, 2180 km and Edmonton, 1550 km)

On air?

According to information I got from the USCG they plan to be back on the air from next week.

10th July until 16:00 UTC on on 5200 kHz,
10th July from 16:00 UTC on on 8000 kHz,
11th July all day transmitting on 8000 kHz,
12th July until 16:00 UTC on on 8000 kHz.

They are back on air. I can see a strong DRM signal on 6850 kHz on a Web-SDR in Edmonton, Canada. They will change to 9900 kHz on the 14th at 1600 UTC.

July 13th log ...

Terje,

If you get a chance, try using Gospell's GR-216 to receive one of these DRM broadcasts from the USCG. I want to see how well the GR-216 performs under such conditions.

Tom, 9900 kHz was not visible on the VE6SLP's SDR tonight at 2117 UTC. Perhaps they're off the air. The chances that I'll hear anything at all from Kodiak are extremely small I think. On the other hand I can hear N. Korea on 6.6 MHz here, but that is "in the other direction" and NOT over the North Pole. I'll keep trying though. Nice to see your logs. Thank you for trying.

Terje,

OK. If you get a chance, then fine. If not, it's no big deal here. The USCG was broadcasting yesterday, but the signal on 9900 kHz was very weak.

Good reception early on July 20th, but I didn't log because I was having some logging problems. The maximum SNR was ~ 8 dB.

For the remainder of these tests, I'll probably only log a couple of hours per day at MOST and those two hours will probably be split into two parts.
