Thanks for that info. Looking at those antennas it definitely seems to be a modern TX site. I'll change my coordinates accordingly.

I was switching between 13 and 15 MHz and decided to log 15540 kHz for half an hour. 27.48 dB max. SNR and 95.71% decoded audio.

@Tom: The target for 13 MHz (Arabic) is USA and 15 MHz (English) is Europe according to the HFCC list. The propagation yesterday was not the best due to Aurora and "your" signal had to pass through 70N.

I also gave this frequency a try and I noticed that I had around 7 dB less SNR on 15 compared to 13 MHz.
Just a short log and I re-tuned to 13 MHz. 18:06-18:13 UTC.

Oui pas aussi bon que les autres soirs, signal plus faible et ensuite plus de signal.

No so good that other Time, and later signal is back.

55 minutes of solid listening to R Kuwait, with a program that reminded me of "Middle Eastern Top 20" way back in early 1970. I.e a lot of pop music and a public announcement. ID with local frequencies on MW and FM + address and fax number!
Time: 19:45-20:40 UTC with a CDA of 99.9 %.

Very good here this evening, at least up until 2030 UTC when a thunderstorm forced me to switch off.

One thing I noticed on the recording I made was that the 'spoken' passages showed a much higher amplitude than the music (if amplitude is a term that can be used with DRM that is, but I'm sure it explains what I mean), it still sounded quite reasonable though.

An 163 mins result at 99.7% CDA / 33.5 dB max SNR. Except of a period of about 10 mins when the signal dropped and decoding errors appeared the rest was almost perfect. A very high Doppler figure noticed,

180 minutes of perfect decoding. The audio level (at least at the end) was at least 10 dB too high. Speech even louder as I could see from the recording I made towards the end of the transmission. Max. 29.20 dB SNR and 99.97% decoded audio.

Did someone catch the e-mail address? I got ?? 'freq [at]hotmail.com', but was there something before the "freq"?

Otherwise in short, the snail-mail address is :

Here, on the other side of the Atlantic, I was able only to hear snatches of audio in today's Kuwait DRM txn on 15540 (19/7/17).

I too noticed the big jump in audio volume level when the "continuity announcer" spoke. (Do radio stations still use that term?)

Nonetheless, I am struck by how very good the audio is from Kuwait.
