I got again that signal, very weak, no decoding, 5kHz BW, see the screenshot.

WINB audio versus WJHR
The WINB received audio bandwidth is less than 4kHz.
Sometime ago, in another thread, I argued that if the resultant decoded DRM audio is of such low fidelity, the broadcaster would probably do better by going with a SSB transmission. This afternoon whilst listening to a KiwiSDR receiver (in the state of Maine) I came across the SSB 15555 kHz broadcast signal of WJHR from Milton, Florida. It was interesting to subjectively compare the audio quality of these two broadcasts. Although they both had similar religious programs, the audio received from WJHR was a lot clearer than that of WINB (and with no drop outs)! I am unable, usually, to receive the WJHR transmission as my location is too close to their transmitter. According to the HFCC WJHR beams almost due north at 5 degrees with a power of 50 kW to a log periodic antenna. Judging from the signal strength they are probably running far less than the published power output. I managed to receive WJHR on several KiwSDR receivers in Europe.

The signal is unusually good this afternoon (October 14th), and I think I've logged more audio from it today than ever before. Will it hold up for Wavescan? somehow I doubt it, but we can but hope. I'll just have to endure the bible bashers and huxters until then!
No 'data' to be seen on the signal today though.

Well I was wrong, I did manage to hear about 70% of Wavescan on Monday, that means I'll have to finally make the effort to send them a report now!
Today (Tuesday) I heard a familiar voice at 1520 UTC, and it turned out to be Bob Biermann's 'Your Weekend Show', which is normally on WRMI, though no mention of this on Bob's website. Interesting what turns up on here at times, well it makes a change from the usual huxters and hate preachers (I'll bet some of those guys would crap themselves if Jesus ever did return!)
